In July, the Nation and partners Rockies LNG and Western LNG were granted a process order for their Ksi Lisims LNG project.
If approved, it would bring a floating LNG processing facility and marine export terminal to Pearse Island, west of Gingolx.
It is designed to be the world’s largest net-zero facility, producing roughly 12 million tonnes of LNG annually over its 40 year lifespan.
With the application now submitted, the Environmental Assessment Office will begin the 180 day application review process.
During that time, the Office will look to determine whether or not the application contains enough information to carry out an effects assessment.
That will include discussions with technical experts, First Nations, and local governments.
But it will also include a 30-day public comment period, which will launch online sometime in the coming weeks.
You can find the full submission and all project documents linked at this link.
