An earthquake on the ocean floor, west of Vancouver Island yesterday morning, could be felt on Haida Gwaii, but prompted no alerts.
Measuring at a magnitude of 4.5, it was the sixth quake measuring 3.0 or higher within the same 50 kilometre section of the ocean this month.
But, the tremor, which hit roughly 150 kilometres south of Haida Gwaii, prompted no tsunami warnings and only minor shaking in some areas.
