The Jack-o-lantern festival, all so known to some as the Pumpkin walk
almost didn’t happen this year in Terrace.
The beloved festival has been going on for approximately 10 years, and usually put on by Terrace Save on foods and the Terrace volunteer fire department.
except during COVID the festival has taken place every year at Ferry Island from November 1-3rd
This year however due to circumstances the usual organizers were unable to do so.
After a post on Facebook, and less then a week away to when the even usually takes place, Paige Skrabyk the owner of the Hideout Cafe quickly jumped into action and took over the planning of this event.
After securing the assistance of the Thornhill volunteer Fire Department and the Terrace Garden society to dispose of the pumpkins to compost, the Jack-o-lantern festival is a go.
As previous years there will be a table set up for donation to the Burn Fund.
