Students at Coast Mountain College can now tap into a pair of new awards thanks to a partnership with the Prince Rupert Port Authority.
Beginning this fall, the two $1,500 awards will be open to students enrolled in Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, Engineering, or Business programs.
That is in addition to their Supporting Trade Apprenticeship Awards, which are open to all students in any year of any trades program.
In order to qualify for the awards, which look to help expand the Port’s workforce, students must maintain a 3.0 GPA or equivalent.
Preference will also be given to Indigenous students, those with financial need, and those pursuing port-related careers with a desire to remain in northern BC.
Application forms are available online through the link at this link.
