A young Prince George couple have walked their way across Canada along highway 1 for the last 5 months.
From May 3rd till October 2nd for the first portion and from October 21st for what they anticipate to be 2 weeks for the last leg of their journey, Cameron and Charity West along with Cameron’s cousin Gary who joined up with the couple in Prince Rupert, started from Alberta to ST. John’s Newfoundland, after a brief days off at home in Prince George they made their way to Prince Rupert and came across the totem pole raising of the memorial pole for MMIW+2S
in their words the woke it to get back to grass roots, its not funded by any one or any company or busness. Its simply something that they decided to do on their own.
the trio are now on the way back home to PG, a trip that they estimate will take them two weeks.
CFNR caught up with the trio along Highway 16 between Prince Rupert and Terrace.
Highway 16 is also famously known as the highway of tears.
