Today, on Good Medicine with Ron Rice…
We’re learning about a new initiative lead by the Victoria Native Friendship Centre. Appropriately named Knit, this project is ensuring fair wages for the knitters of Cowichan Sweaters.
This initiative supports Indigenous artisans so they can earn FAIR wages, creating sustainability for their designs, community, and the rich cultural heritage that is woven into each and every piece.
Hear Rons words “If you have a burden , gather together and share that burden. It’ll be lighter if I carry some of that for you; and if you have joy let’s make it louder. Come bring your joy here and it can grow, and be shared by many people”
