Terrace Mayor Sean Bujtas Spoke with CFNR to recap 2023 and some of the highlights, and his hopes for 2024.
Some of the highlights are visibly seen in the downtown core area, including the Grand Trunk pathway project that connects Kitsum Kalum Reserve, right through the down town area by a fully paved walkway, the mayor says. On Lakelse Avenue, there was the removal of the canopy overhand along the 4600 block that is now completely removed and the reconstructions are still currently underway. At the Old Skeena Bridge, the sidewalks have been completed along with planters along the way, and the old bridge has been completed ahead of schedule, Bujtas adds. In the George Little Park, located by the library, new public bathrooms were recently installed as well.
The mayor also spoke of some of the short comings of the year and his disappointment in the Graham Avenue Project that is still ongoing.
