The BC Assembly of First Nations (BCAFN) is holding BC First Nations Climate Leadership (FNCL) engagement sessions in Terrace this week.
Terry Teegee, regional chief for the BCAFN, spoke with CFNR about how these are pivotal gatherings aimed at addressing climate change and related emergencies in Indigenous communities.
Teegee says by fostering collaboration and inclusivity, the sessions ensure that all 204 First Nations communities in BC have a voice in shaping the response to climate challenges and other crises like the opioid epidemic and homelessness.
CFNR has more on the story.
