This month marks the 10-year anniversary of the disappearance of Noel Yassinsky, a 67-year-old Kitimat resident who went missing on August 10, 2014. Yassinsky was last seen at his home, where a friend noticed troubling signs, including the absence of his blue 2009 Ford Fusion (BCLP 226UFF). This led to his immediate reporting as a missing person.
The search for Yassinsky intensified when his vehicle was found abandoned near Purden Campground, west of Prince George, on September 17, 2014. Despite extensive efforts by RCMP Police Dog Services and Search and Rescue, including a two-day search of the area, no significant leads were discovered.
As the 10-year mark approaches, Yassinsky’s family remains hopeful for answers and closure. They continue to urge the public to come forward with any information that might help resolve the case.
If you have any details, no matter how minor they might seem, please contact the Kitimat RCMP at 250-632-7111 or Northern British Columbia Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
