Join Us for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
Thursday, September 26th, from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Kermode Friendship Society, located at 4714 Park Avenue,
Come partake in a meaningful outdoor community event honoring Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
- Light Lunch Provided: Enjoy a delicious meal as we gather and share stories.
- Children’s Activities and Crafts: Bring the kids along! There will be plenty of engaging activities to keep them entertained.
- Cultural Sharing: Experience the rich traditions and insights from Jolene Prince and Ron Nyce as they share their knowledge and stories.
- Sacred Fire & Smudge Tent: Participate in this spiritual aspect of the day, offering a moment of reflection and connection.
Everyone is welcome to come together on this day, as we honor the survivors of residential schools and their families, and we commit to fostering understanding and reconciliation in our community. Wear your orange shirt as a symbol of support, and let’s make this day one of unity and respect.
