The RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 7-year-old Oaklynn Schwedder, who was reported missing from her home in Southbank, near Burns Lake, on September 19. Oaklynn was last seen outside her residence around 6:00 PM on Thursday.
She was wearing a red and blue plaid dress, leggings with white bowties, and pink socks. Oaklynn is non-verbal and on the autism spectrum, which raises concerns for her safety.
Search efforts are underway, with police resources and Search and Rescue teams actively involved in the search. Despite a night of extensive searching, Oaklynn has not yet been found.
Her mother, Gail Skin, has reached out to the community for help via social media, urging anyone with information about Oaklynn’s whereabouts to contact local police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
