Premier David Eby has unveiled a new cabinet for BC, designed to address the province’s most pressing challenges with a mix of experienced leaders and fresh voices. The cabinet’s priorities include making life more affordable for families, improving healthcare, enhancing public safety, and fostering economic growth that benefits everyone.
The team emphasizes diversity and representation, with more women than men in cabinet and ministers chosen for their professional and community expertise. This approach is aimed at bringing practical, real-world perspectives to key issues.
Newly created ministries highlight the government’s focus on climate action and infrastructure development. The Ministry of Energy and Climate Solutions will lead efforts to expand clean energy projects, while the Ministry of Mining and Critical Minerals will oversee resource development essential for a clean economy. A dedicated Infrastructure Ministry will coordinate planning and delivery of major projects such as schools, hospitals, and transportation upgrades.
The cabinet also reflects a commitment to Indigenous partnerships and climate resilience, which the government views as essential for long-term prosperity in British Columbia.
In total, the new cabinet includes 23 ministers, four ministers of state, and 14 parliamentary secretaries, all tasked with supporting a government focused on listening to British Columbians and delivering meaningful solutions.
