The Terrace Community Forest (TCF) has contributed $200,000 to the City of Terrace, generated through its 2023 commercial thinning and retention harvesting program. This funding will support local outdoor recreation and art initiatives.
Recent projects funded by TCF include the new pickleball courts on Halliwell Avenue, the expansion of the George Little Park playground, art installations at Ferry Island, and cricket fields in Thornhill.
Since its inception, TCF has allocated $5 million towards community projects, partnering with local organizations and creating approximately $30 million in direct employment.
TCF extends thanks to its Board of Directors, Timber Baron Contracting (2013) Ltd., Cypress Forest Consultants, and First Nations partners (Kitsumkalum, Kitselas, Haisla, Metlakatla, and Lax Kw’alaams) for their role in its success.
