Residents of the Nuxalk Nation, Bella Coola, and Hagensborg on B.C.’s central coast now have access to high-speed internet, providing faster and more reliable digital connections.
Two connectivity projects, built and operated by CityWest, are now complete.
These upgrades bring broadband services to around 440 households in the Nuxalk Nation and Bella Coola, as well as 420 households in Hagensborg.
The Province of British Columbia invested over $1.4 million in the Connecting Bella Coola project and nearly $1.5 million in the Hagensborg project.
Both were funded through the Connecting British Columbia program, managed by the Northern Development Initiative Trust.
