Claire Rattée MLA FOR SKEENA Critic For Mental Health and Addictions, is calling out the BC NDP for misleading the public on safe supply drug diversion. Rattée says The government denied for years that prescription opioids were being trafficked, but a leaked Ministry of Health report proves otherwise.
Rattee says police investigations have already uncovered tens of thousands of hydromorphone pills being sold across BC and beyond. Premier David Eby and Dr. Bonnie Henry dismissed concerns as fear-mongering, only admitting the problem after the leak forced their hand.
She argues the NDP’s policy is fueling the crisis, with taxpayer-funded opioids being traded for fentanyl and flooding the streets. Instead of tracking diversion, the government suppressed evidence and refused to act.
Rattee says British Columbians didn’t sign up for this and deserve a government that prioritizes public safety, not one that enables the drug trade.
