Residents requiring life-threatening emergency care, such as chest pains, difficulty breathing, or severe bleeding, are advised to call 9-1-1 for transport to the nearest hospital. For non-urgent care, people can access the NH Virtual Primary & Community Care Clinic by calling 1-844-645-7811 from 10 am to 10 pm. Indigenous residents can also reach the First Nations Virtual Doctor of the Day program at 1-855-344-3800 between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm. Northern BC residents are able to book virtual appointments with a pharmacist for 21 minor ailments through the provincial service. For health advice, HealthLink BC is available at 8-1-1, 24/7. The hospital is asking for the community’s understanding and patience during this temporary service interruption.
