Terrace residents and businesses came together this weekend to support public music education, raising more than $15,000 during the annual School Band Telethon
The funds will help cover student travel costs and expenses for major music festival trips.
This year’s telethon had an extra special touch, with Dare to Dream clinicians staying an additional day to mentor students, perform alongside them, and even conduct their ensembles bringing a new level of excitement and inspiration to the event.
Generous donations poured in from individuals and local businesses, with major sponsors including Terrace Chrysler, Terrace Toyota, Skeena Mall, and others.
Organizers say community support played a key role with pledges making up more than half of the total funds raised.
Throughout the telethon, students delivered outstanding performances, showcasing their dedication and talent ahead of their upcoming festival appearances.
Teachers and organizers are thanking everyone who contributed to making the event a huge success
