The City of Terrace has secured over $413,000 in provincial funding to enhance the Thomas Street reconstruction project. The additional funding from the BC Ministry of Transportation and Transit will allow for the addition of a concrete sidewalk on the west side of the road, alongside the originally planned multi-use pathway on the east side.
This upgrade is part of the city’s efforts to improve accessibility and provide better active transportation options for pedestrians, cyclists, and other users. The project is expected to be completed later this summer.
Once finished, the improvements will offer safer and more convenient connections for people traveling through the area.
