$2.4 million dollars in PacifiCan funding has been announced for 10 projects across northern B.C.
The funding has been released to help communities revitalize public spaces to increase tourism interest.
From the Community Revitalization stream the District of Kitimat is one of three recipients and will receive almost 500,000 dollars to expand and upgrade Minette Bay Park.
Skidegate Band Council will receive 513, 443 dollars from that stream to upgrade the waterfront park.
the Tourism Relief stream of funding has seven projects in development including nearly 100,000 dollars for the Kasiks Wilderness Resort which will see renovations, 249,000 for Kermodei Tourism, and 500,000 for the Secretariat of the Haida nation to expand tourist accommodations and cultural tourism.
