A newly completed project is bringing high-speed internet to more than 700 households in the Cariboo, just in time for the holidays.
All but 8 homes in the Deka Lake and Ruth Lake communities, east of 100 Mile House, can now access Telus’s new fibre-to-the-home network.
That means residents can now subscribe to home internet services with download speeds surpassing 50 megabits per second, and 10 megabits per second for uploads.
Telus invested roughly $1.6 million in the new PureFibre infrastructure, while the province provided up to $3.1 million.
