An armed stand-off in Quesnel last week ended peacefully, following nearly 3 hours of negotiations between police and the suspect.
Initially, RCMP were called on at around 10:00 at night on December 29th, for reports of a 23 year-old man assaulting a 24 year-old woman.
When officers arrived on-scene, they found the suspect wielding a knife, which he refused to drop when ordered to.
After two and a half hours of negotiations, police were able to convince the man to drop the weapon and take him into custody without further incident.
RCMP will not be releasing any further information, as the investigation is on-going.
