Another milestone has been met as Skeena Resources looks to make their proposed Eskay Creek Gold-Silver Project a reality.
Yesterday, Skeena announced the signing of a Process Charter alongside the Tahltan Central Government, and the Province.
A unique collaboration between the trio, the Charter establishes a plan for them to work together on an efficient environmental assessment and permitting process.
Through the agreement, the TCG will be able to integrate Tahltan knowledge, requirements, and decision-making specific to the Eskay Creek Project.
It also outlines a timeline which has the project receiving an Environmental Assessment Certificate by the second half of 2024, and final permits early in 2025.
On November 18th, the EAO and TCG both issued a positive readiness decision, advancing the project to the Process Planning Phase.
Ottawa approved a substitution agreement that same month, allowing BC to conduct both the Federal and Provincial Assessments as one.
