Nobody was injured as a result of a collision between a car and a train west of Terrace this morning.
RCMP were called out to the incident on Highway 16, near the confluence of the Exstew and Skeena Rivers, at around 10:15.
A small car had gone off the road and come to a rest on the railway tracks, after the driver lost control while navigating a corner.
Luckily the driver, and lone occupant, was able to escape the vehicle and get away from the tracks, before an oncoming train collided with the car.
Highway 16 was closed for just over two hours as a result, but no related injuries were reported.
