Canada’s Budget 2023 estimates a federal budgetary deficit of $40.1 billion.
Released today, the report shows a 56 percent decrease in poverty, and wage gap decrease of 12 percent.
In the budget, $29 billion has been reported to be invested since 2015 for indigenous investments.
New investments will see $76.3 million for Indigenous Services Canada, and $19.4 million over 5 years to promote more indigenous participation in environmental assessments for a total of $124.7 million.
The Canada Health Transfer will see an increase by 9.3 percent, which will provide $49.4 billion in health care funding for the provinces and territories.
