Kitselas First Nation’s Chief and Council election has seen the addition of a new seat amid population growth.
With a total of 72 out of 169 votes, Glenn Bennett has been re-elected as chief.
Meanwhile, all six councillors have been re-elected with one new addition.
Judith Gerow is the new councillor, representing a portion of the now 712 members of the band.
That signals the second election cycle in a row that the band has had to add a new seat to the council due to population growth.
Gerow joins returning councillors Cyril Bennett-Nabess, Jericho Collison, Geneva Mason, Victor Wright, and Ken McDames Jr.
