Those in the Terrace area this weekend will have a chance to fill their bellies while also supporting community health care.
Prevost RV and Marine is hosting a charity barbecue at the Skeena Mall this weekend to raise money for a Tier 3 Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit.
Hotdogs will be sold for $1 each both Saturday and Sunday, with all proceeds going to the REM Lee Hospital Foundation’s Closer to Home project.
That project hopes to raise $14.5 million to bring the Northwest’s first Tier 3 Neo-Natal unit to the new Mills Memorial Hospital.
As it stands, parents and infants in need of emergent care must travel to Prince George for Tier 4 support of Vancouver for Tier 6.
