RCMP have safely recovered a pair of children who had been the subject of an amber alert which lasted for 11 days.
Issued on July 19th, the alert came after the childrens’ mother, Verity Bolton, failed to return them to their primary caregiver two days prior.
A province-wide search for the children, Bolton, her boyfriend Abraxas Glazov, and third accomplice then ensued.
With the help of multiple detachments, and more than 430 public tips, police were able to track the group to a rural property outside Edson, Alberta.
Last Saturday, at approximately 7:20 in the evening, police entered the property and located both children, and all three adults safe and unharmed.
Bolton has now been charged with two counts of abduction in contravention of a custody order, and Glazov with two counts of abduction of a person under the age of 14.
Both remain in custody as they await a court date, with police conducting a more thorough search of the property today.
