A man charged in a shooting at last year’s Williams Lake Stampede will avoid the most severe charges after pleading guilty to four others.
Later that afternoon, police would arrest 34 year-old Jordell Sellars in connection with the shooting, which both victims would survive.
Initially, Sellars had faced numerous charges, including one of attempted murder and two of discharging a firearm with intent to wound.
But last week he would plead guilty instead to two counts of aggravated assault, one of possession of a loaded restricted firearm, and one of reckless discharge.
A Gladue report will be prepared for Sellars ahead of his sentencing, which is currently slated for October 25th.
