Gusting winds began to cooperate with wildfire crews battling the more than 380 blazes still burning in BC yesterday.
An evacuation alert which had been in place for the Village of Witset and some of the surrounding area has now been fully rescinded.
But, alerts remain in place for a section south of Houston, around Marilla along the north side of Ootsa Lake, and in the Pinkut Creek area of Babine Lake.
An evacuation order is covering the area north of where the Nadina River meets Francois Lake.
Orders are also in place around Lucas Lake southwest of Fort Fraser and around Tatuk Lake south of Vanderhoof.
North of there, and west of Highway 97, a pair of fires are prompting orders around Great Beaver Lake and Ocock Lake.
And a large order is also covering an area around the Omineca Provincial Park stretching all the way south to Highway 27.
Fire danger ratings are set to low or very low in the Skeena and along the Northcoast, but hit moderate and high for some portions of the Nechako.
