An investigation has been launched after an ATV crash north of Stewart last month claimed one life and sent two others to hospital.
A Decade Resources contractor had been driving an ATV with a pair of passengers on a service road near Red Cliff prior to the August 29th incident.
At around 11:30 in the morning, the vehicle failed to navigate a curve on the winding mining access road and crashed.
Emergency responders were called in and attempted to perform CPR on the driver, who would later be pronounced dead at the scene.
Both of the passengers suffered serious injuries, and were transported to hospital in Vancouver with the help of Search and Rescue crews.
Now, the BC Coroners Service and WorkSafeBC have each launched investigations into the cause and factors involved in the incident.
