Pipeline Installation Along Coastal GasLink Project Route Hits 98% Completion, 5 of 8 Sections Now Finished

Pipeline installation is now 98 percent complete along the Coastal GasLink route as the project inches closer to the finish line.

Crews completed installation on section five of the route, which stretches from north of Vanderhoof to south of Burns Lake, last month.

With that, installation work has now wrapped-up on five of the project’s eight sections, with the remaining sections all very close to completion.

Last month also saw crews complete all 800 water crossings, including safely executing 10 trenchless crossings.

While the project is expected to reach mechanical completion this year, clean-up and reclamation, and erosion and sediment control activities will continue past that.
