It took two years on the dot, but police have finally charged a man in connection with a 100 Mile House shooting from 2021.
On October 19th of that year, RCMP were called out to an address on Exeter Station Road for reports of gunshots.
When they arrived, they found a man inside the building suffering from gunshot wounds, who would succumb to his injuries shortly after.
Last Thursday, a warrant was issued for James Eugene Perkins, who was arrested the following day on first degree murder chargers stemming from the incident.
Perkins was arrested without incident and police say they will offer no further comments, as the matter is now before the courts.
