Terrace and District Aquatic Center will be temporarily closing its doors from July 1 to July 19 for essential maintenance and upgrades.
This includes annual maintenance for all pool systems, repairs, grouting, and deep cleaning of pool basins and other areas.
Additionally, capital projects requiring multi-day closures will be undertaken during this period.Leisure Services has strategically chosen this time as historical data shows it to be the quietest month at the TDAC, with many residents away on vacation or engaging in outdoor activities locally.
By aligning the closure with this period, Leisure Services aims to minimize inconvenience to the community while expediting the resumption of public swims, lesson offerings, and school field trips once the facility reopens.
All active memberships will be extended for the duration of the closure, ensuring fair compensation for lost days.
The TDAC is set to welcome back patrons on Saturday, July 20, with a special public swim. A full summer schedule, including swimming lessons, will kick off on Sunday, July 21.
