KICA Contracting Ltd., a 100% Tahltan-owned business, has been honored with a 2024 Indigenous Business Award. Founded by Kimberly Marion, KICA has made significant strides in the resource sector by creating employment opportunities for Indigenous peoples.

Notably, 85% of KICA’s workforce consists of Tahltan individuals, reflecting Marion’s commitment to enhancing Indigenous career prospects and promoting fair wages.
As part of the award, KICA Contracting Ltd. will receive a cash prize, be featured in a recognition film by BC Achievement, and be presented with a medallion and lapel pin designed by renowned artist Robert Davidson, OC, OBC. The company will also be honored at a gala dinner in Vancouver.
