This week marks the start of an exciting yet busy transition for Terrace as services and equipment are moved from Mills Memorial Hospital to the new Ksyen Regional Hospital. The move will continue through November 24, with efforts focused on ensuring a smooth shift for patients and staff.
The public is urged to avoid visiting either hospital unless it’s a medical emergency, you have a pre-scheduled appointment, or you’re an essential visitor. Emergency services will move to the new hospital at 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 24. Regular visiting hours at Ksyen Regional Hospital begin Monday, November 25.
During this transition, some services will be temporarily disrupted. The outpatient lab will reopen at the new hospital on November 25, while breast screening resumes December 9. UV light treatments are unavailable November 22 and 25, and microbiology samples are being redirected to other Northern Health labs until approximately November 26.
Parking will initially be limited at the new hospital, but additional spaces are being added in the coming weeks. Residents are encouraged to carpool or use public transit where possible.
For questions or updates, contact Northern Health or visit their website. Thank you for your patience and support during this important move.
