Freezing rain is expected for North Coast – inland including Terrace, Highways 16,37 and Nass Camp
Early Tuesday morning possibly continuing into Tuesday afternoon.
Weak arctic outflow conditions will continue as a storm system crosses the north coast tonight and Tuesday. Warm air aloft and sub-zero surface temperatures will lead to an episode of freezing rain in many inland valleys. Warmer air is expected to push in sometime Tuesday afternoon, and a change over to rain showers is expected.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots will become icy, slippery and hazardous. Utility outages may occur.
Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.
