The Indigenous Seafood Supply Conference (ISS) 2025 is happening on January 16th and 17th at the Crest Hotel in Prince Rupert.
This two-day event is designed to empower Indigenous seafood harvesters with the tools and knowledge needed to connect directly with seafood buyers and strengthen business relationships across the Northern and Central Coast regions.
The conference will tackle industry challenges faced by First Nations and provide practical steps for entering and thriving in seafood commerce.
With BC’s seafood industry valued at $2 billion annually, First Nations are taking on a greater role, managing fishing licenses, quotas, and harvesting rights.
ISS 2025 will explore how Indigenous communities can capitalize on this growing sector while promoting sustainability and profitability.
