A new art piece has been added to the Ferry Island trail network, thanks to the Terrace Community Forest. The iron salmon statue, created by Steve Rogers of Great Bear Iron Works, is mounted on a rock at the base of the new Dudley Little Bridge.
For those wanting a closer look, park in the overflow lot—just left of the main parking area—and follow the trail looping around the north end of the island.
Ferry Island’s trails are a popular outdoor escape, and this new addition offers another reason to visit. While it may be chilly, a walk in the sunshine and a glimpse of the statue might just make the trip worthwhile.
