In December, the Terrace RCMP launched an investigation into potential firearms manufacturing, which led to the execution of a search warrant on January 23, The investigation, conducted by the Terrace Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) alongside several agencies, including the Canada Border Services Agency and the National Weapons Enforcement Support Team, resulted in two arrests for firearm-related offences.
During the search, authorities seized 3D printed firearms, 3D printed silencers, tools used for gun manufacturing, large quantities of suspected pharmaceutical drugs, and counterfeit currency.
Both individuals were released from custody—one with a court date and conditions. Terrace RCMP will be forwarding the investigation’s findings to Crown counsel for potential charges.
