The Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (IAAC) is inviting public and Indigenous participation in a comment period on proposed amendments to the decision statement for the Cedar LNG Project, a floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility and export terminal near Kitimat, B.C. The proposed changes include expanding the marine terminal area for mooring system infrastructure and adding a new distribution powerline with an alternate route, though the facility’s production and storage capacity will remain unchanged.
The public comment period is open until April 30, 2025. Feedback can be submitted online via the Canadian Impact Assessment Registry, where details of the proposed changes are also available. IAAC encourages diverse input, including in Indigenous languages. Comments will be publicly posted as part of the project file. For more details, visit the IAAC website or follow updates on social media using #CedarLNG.
