Coast Mountain College intends to bring a request of support for a 250 thousand dollar grant application before Terrace City Council tonight.
In order to establish a Health and Wellness Centre at their Terrace campus, the college is seeking the funding from the Northern Development Initiative Trust.
In total, 1.2 million dollars is needed to complete the project, but the College has already internally sourced 950 thousand of that.
Funding would come from the Trust’s Economic Diversification Infrastructure stream.
A variety of recreational and activity options, as well as various fitness-oriented classes, would be offered by the Centre to both students and community members.
