Staff and members of the community have stepped up to transform the Witsuwit’en Child and Family Centre as a
temporary school for students after the Moricetown Elementary Secondary School suffered major flooding last week,
It looks as if the hard work finally paid off. This coming Monday, January the 15th, classes, and daycare will resume as normal.
Several young adults have come forward on their own time to help with the workload.
Christine Bruce says ‘the enthusiasm of these willing young adults has demonstrated a very real community connection.’
KWES would like to thank the community’s patience and commitment during the restoration process.
