Quesnel RCMP are investigating after a number of early morning incidents, including a robbery.
Police were first called out to a break and enter at a gas station along Juniper Road at 4:20. Mounties found a stolen pickup that had been rammed into the side of a building.
The truck was still running but the suspects had fled. Shortly after, police were called to a robbery at a Carson Avenue gas station. RCMP say suspects entered the store, pepper sprayed the lone employee and fled with cigarettes and lottery tickets.
RCMP say the two incident are connected.
Investigators say the suspects broke into a Juniper Road vehicle dealership at about 4 a.m. stole two pickups, and used them in the break-in and robbery.
Police are still searching for the second pickup truck used as a getaway vehicle. It’s described as a 2018 black Dodge Ram 1500 Sport.
