A 71 year old Prince Rupert woman was rushed to hospital Wednesday morning after being hit by a taxi.
Corporal Devon Gerrits with thePrince Rupert RCMP says the collision was no fault of the pedestrain.
Witnesses say the woman was in shock but alert after the collision. Corporal Gerrits says the woman suffered injuries described as minor.
The driver of the taxi cab was issued a ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrain.
Gerrits says collisions between vehicles and pedestrians has been an issued over the last number of months.
About a half dozen incidents have occurred with one fatality in November of last year.
