Williams Lake RCMP say a local man is facing weapons charges after an incident Saturday night.
Police were called out to Broadway Avenue South shortly after 8 o’clock for multiple reports of gun shots in the area.
Officers arrested two people and detained five others at a nearby home. Mounties seized a gun and some ammunition from the home.
RCMP say 21 year-old Lane Don Cooper is charged with three weapons-related offences and remains in custody pending his next court date January 31.
Police say a 28 year-old man is also facing a charge of possession of a prohibited weapon and is expected to appear in court March 7.
The Williams Lake RCMP are continuing to investigate.
