A stretch of Highway 16 between Terrace and Prince Rupert remains closed due to high avalanche hazard.
The Ministry of Transportation says the route could remain closed until Thursday morning at 10.
The route was shut down shortly after noon Wednesday 13 km east of Prince Rupert to 35 km west of Terrace.
