Some classes and buses have been cancelled due to the winter storm that’s dropped large amounts of snow across Northern BC.
Northwest Community College called off Wednesday evening classes at its Terrace, Hazelton, and Smithers campuses due to deteriorating road conditions and heavy snow. NWCC says it will update students about Thursday classes by 5:30 that day.
The Kyah Wiget Education Society says all Thursday classes at Moricetown Elementary Secondary School, Adult Education Centre, and ICount are cancelled, but a small staff will be on hand for any students that didn’t receive the update.
School District 91 has canceled all buses for Thursday, but Nechako Lakes schools will be open and staffed.
The Bulkley Valley School District dismissed students early Wednesday in light of poor roads, but no information is available yet about Thursday classes.
All buses and classes ran as usual Wednesday in the Coast Mountains School District, but no information has been provided about Thursday’s classes as of yet.
