The Coast Mountains School District has closed all of its schools Thursday, February 8th due to road and sidewalk conditions caused by heavy snow.
Parents or guardians should contact their local principal with any questions.
While District 82 students have the day off, there’s no snow day for Northwest Community College.
NWCC says its Terrace campus is open, but Hazelton, and Smithers will be closed until 11:30, at which time the situation will be re-evaluated.
The Kyah Wiget Education Society says all Thursday classes at Moricetown Elementary Secondary School, Adult Education Centre, and ICount are cancelled, but a small staff will be on hand for any students that didn’t receive the update.
The Bulkley Valley School District says all bus routes have been canceled, but schools will remain open Thursday.
School District 91 has canceled all buses for Thursday, but Nechako Lakes schools will be open and staffed.
The Cariboo Chilcotin School District has called off all bus services in the Williams Lake and 100 Mile House areas, but schools will be open.
