The Port of Prince Rupert is set to lead the way in a new carrier service alliance with a group of Asian companies.
The Port will be the first to receive regular service as part of the newly ammended PS8 trans-Pacific service.
Asia based companies Yang Ming, The Alliance, Hapag-Lloyd, and Ocean Network Express will see shipments from 4 ports begin arriving in Prince Rupert as early as tomorrow.
The companies say the decision was made based on the Port’s rapid recent growth and predictions that it will continue its remarkable pace of growth through 2021.
