More money will be added to the coffers for two student programs thanks to the provincial government.
The Take a Hike Foundation and Right to Play foundation will each recieve 150 thousand in funding for the work they do in improving students’ well-being.
Both foundations focus on stimulating students both mentally and physically in order to improve their outlook and help the develop.
Right to Play focus specifically on helping Indigenous students and immigrants.
They have been active in over 19, mainly Indigenous, communities, helping more than 15 hundred students since their creation in 2015.
They plan to use the funding to bring their programs to more communities and to add to their curriculum.
